Geneviève Nadeau


Geneviève holds a BA in Sociology from Tel Aviv University and has been working in civil society organizations and resource development for over 15 years. She was born in Québec, Canada, and has been living Israel-Palestine since 1999.

Rosalyn Hussary


Rosalyn completed her BA in Special Education, Arabic Studies at Tel Aviv University. She has been active in civil society and politics for 10 years and has joined Tishreen in the summer of 2018.
 

Advocate Nidal Othman


Founder of “Strategies for Social Change”, serves as a consultant for community organizations and project development. Served as the Director of the headquarters for the “Fight Against Racism Institute”. Co-editor of a published youth weekly magazine called "Dunya Al-Riyadh and Shabab” and presented a television program called "Our Right" on the Arab channel: HALA TV. Active in his hometown of Tamra in the Galilee, where he leads various struggles with partners in the city within the framework of: “The People's Committee” in Tamra, an initiative that includes political parties, bodies, organizations and activists from the city. Writes opinion pieces in Arabic and Hebrew on human rights and activism. In 2018 founded and still manages "Strategies for Social Change", an organization that provides services in the field of social change strategies and accompanies and advises several organizations for social change in the Arab society. Since the beginning of 2019, he has served as Deputy Mayor of Tamara and oversees the welfare department, the non-formal education department, and the culture department.

 

Mohanad Berekdar


Experienced Organizational Consultant with a demonstrated history of working in the management-consulting sector. Skilled in Non-profit Organizations, Coaching, Executive Coaching, Facilitation and Management. Strong human resources professional with a Master of Arts (M.A.) focused on Organizational Analysis from University of East London, the Grubb institute, London, England. Mohanad Provides professional and technical assistance for Non-Profit and Civil Society organizations in the following fields: Organizational Development, Strategic Planning, Project Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, Youth Activism and Community Work. Mohanad is Developing and implementing Capacity Building Programs for 50 Palestinian Civil Society Organizations in Israel. Mohanad has been serving for the past 10 years as a Consultant for Organizations as part of “SHATIL” - Empowerment and Training Centre for Social Change Organizations.

 

Jalal Masarweh


Jalal Masarweh, an actor, and filmmaker. He has worked in the field of cinema and has been an actor since the age of sixteen. He studied theater arts at “Stella Adler” in Los Angeles, and film at “Camera Obscura”. He has participated and acted in many series and films, the most prominent of which is "Sandstorm", which won an award at the Sundance International Festival. Jalal directed his first film at the age of 29; a short fictional film. Jalal now devotes his time to the field of screenplay writing.

 

Lior Davidi


A Resource Development Consultant and Manager at “Minuf Group” and at HaMidrasha at Oranim, in Kiryat Tivon, a non-profit foundation focused on educational programs, leadership development and mission driven communities which operates nationally. Lior holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Middle Eastern Studies from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She is a certified Tour Leader for tours taking place abroad, from the Israel School of Tourism of the University of Haifa. Lior has worked for several years at the “Technion International School”, at the Technion Institute of Technology in Haifa, as the Summer Programs Coordinator, Student Exchange Program Coordinator and as the External Relations and Agreements Coordinator, overlooking International students, program’s schedule, writing reports and conducting meetings with representatives from leading international universities. Lior has worked at an NGO in Ramla for two years: “Mifalot Education and Society Enterprises” as the International Development Manager and Resource Development Coordinator, in the field of "Football for Good" for Youth at Risk and People with Disabilities, women and girl’s empowerment and worked closely with the deputy to the CEO and with the CEO. Lior has taught spoken English skills at High-Q company and at Burlington English company both in Haifa and Hadera branches for young children and adults, as well as private English lessons. She was born in the USA and lives in Haifa nowadays.

 

Auditor Jad Barancy


Jad Barancy is a senior auditor specialized in organizations, and associations financial management. He holds a master's degree in auditing from Tel Aviv University and the The IFRS Foundation supporting high-quality, understandable, enforceable and globally accepted accounting standards—IFRS Standards. Mr. Jad is a member of the Isarei Board of Auditors since 2015, and has been working since 2011 in managing accounts, building economic plans and business strategies for associations, organizations, and companies.

 

Lama Shehadeh


an architect and urban planner. She obtained her B.Arch degree from the Technion Institute of Technology in Haifa, and her master’s degree in city and regional planning from Cornell University in the US. Lama’s academic researched focused on the intersection of architecture and urban planning with identity, spatial justice, environmental and political conflicts, and social formation. Lama worked in city planning departments in Pittsburgh and in Washington DC. Now, she works on master plans for Arab towns and villages.

 

Hazar Badin


Place-Making project coordinator Hazar holds a BSc. in Environmental Engineering from the Technion and currently an MA student for global and local development (GLOCAL) in the Sociology department at the Hebrew university. She has been a social activist for 7 years now, a member and co-founder of the volunteer group "Akka 5000". Hazar believes that for achieving proper community development, a harmonized mobilization of individual's capacities, for the common purposes, should take place.
