Women’s Leadership & Empowerment

Tishreen promotes women empowerment by enhancing women’s capacities to participate in political and government processes, with the aim of increasing their representation in elected local councils as well as in larger political structures and bodies. We believe that having more Arab women in leadership positions can change our government’s treatment of crucial social issues, and bring forth equality and social justice.

The program includes training on the Israeli electoral process, including electoral systems, legislation, the electoral cycle, gender mainstreaming in elections, challenges to women's participation, and designing action plans that have the potential to contribute to strengthening women’s political participation.
