Program objectives:
A) To provide youth with an alternative educational setting, exposing them to social issues relating to community violence, identity, belonging, pluralism, and democracy, thus developing their political and social awareness.
B) To provide youth with knowledge and tools to develop critical thinking and leadership skills.
C) To encourage youth to take action and strengthen their role in combatting violence within their communities.
D) To develop a regional youth network of high school students concerned about and acting upon the topic of community violence.
E) To develop the concept of volunteerism through capacity building and empowerment of young activists with the aim of enhancing their role as agents of change.
F) To provide youth with tools and skills necessary to build social projects and public campaigns.
G) Through public interventions, to trigger and constructively challenge social discourse around the issues of violence, crime, racism, tolerance, pluralism and democracy.
