Tishreen Association has recently completed its strategic planning for the upcoming three years as part of its project to develop its community organizational capacity in the triangle. Staff members, delegates from the administrative board, members of the Youth groups , volunteers as well as activists in Tishreen Association participated in the strategic planning workshops.
This year’s planning followed a series of the organizations achievements thus far, which have been evaluated on all professional and organizational aspects. The results of those achievements , their impact on target aud
iences – particularly young audience and women – , as well as the general political ,cultural and social impact of the projects , were assess
ed thoroughly.
The planning process also included a survey of the political, cultural, social, economic, and environmentalstatus quo, where a mapping was conducted to examine the current needs & challenges on one hand, as well as the resources & capacities on the other.
Based on the course of planning, Tishreen formed a new plan and designed a number of projects through which it seeks to strengthen the identity and sense of belonging, combat violence, promote cultural production, in addition to building a civil society able to face the current social and political issues in an orderly and thoughtful manner.
“I am exceedingly satisfied with the professional level adopted by the association; we have developed a sustainable long-term vision and goals, a rich work program and projects we already began to develop. Some of these projects had already come into effect such as the project of economic empowerment “women and work,”, as well as promoting, empowering and networking of Youth groups in the region. More outstanding projects will be announced in the near future and I am confident that we at Tishreen , along side our partners will accomplish more achievements for our community ” – Majd Nasrallah, activist & general director of Tishreen Association.
