Tishreen Association has decided to join the ’16 Days of Activism to Stop Violence against Women’. During this week, we dedicated our weekly workshops in high schools in the framework of our ‘Youth Leadership for a Safe Community’ project on the issue of gender related violence.
Our student facilitators conducted workshops for 10th grade students in several schools in the Triangle – Qalanswa, Taybeh, Kufur Qara and Kufur Qasem – on the topic of combating violence against women in all its forms and types. The aim of the workshops is to educate the adolescents on the importance of addressing this phenomenon, contributing to the emergence of an influential generation equipped to improve women’s status in society. Moreover, core values and principles of pluralism, tolerance and respect for human rights were addressed during the workshops.
