January 12, 2019
Grand Opening of the “Come Tomorrow, I’ll Explain to You” Exhibition
April 19, 2019In the face of the increasingly right wing, conservative governments across the world, the rise of racial and religious intolerance and the widening inequalities, celebration of the 2019 International Women’s Day is ever more significant. This year’s call to action, #BalanceforBetter, seeks to highlight efforts all over the world to create a more gender-balanced world.
– Because we are still many to suffer violence, to live in poverty, to work at minimum salary, to be lone mothers, to earn a lesser salary for equal competencies;
– Because we assume house chores in larger numbers, take care of children or sick relatives;
– Because we are fewer in places of power, be they politic, economic or cultural, and we are fewer in history books;
– And because most of the facts listed above concern even more directly those between us who are natives, minorities, marginalized, living in poverty.
For all those reason, and until the world be balanced and equal, feminist action will remain a top priority of all civil society organization promoting democracy, equality and justice.
